This is my first review in a long time. I am very pleased with Jacks. The croissant was light and airy. It had a great crunch to the crust and had a really nice flavor. The cappuccino was solid. Smooth, not bitter. It was a little bold tasting for me but if you like it skittle stronger it's a great treat. With that being said, I enjoyed it very much
The ambience and decor was perfect. It made you feel like you were in an artisan coffee shop in lower Manhattan. It's one of the better places I have been too done here -

This used to be my favorite place in the neighborhood but it's definitely become less charming. It feels a little bit like I'm walking into a fancier Dunkin' Donuts now. The staff are noticeably less personal and less engaged than they used to be a couple years ago.
However, the coffee is definitely better than Starbucks in my opinion. The food items that they offer, although minor, are excellent. It's also on a great street with great ambience.
The only other issue I have is that they don't open as early as other places in the neighborhood so I definitely will go there less often as a result. -

Tried this place as I was staying nearby. Asked for a large matcha latte hoping that it would be an actual latte. No such thing. I wasn't even done ordering/paying for it and it was ready. Not because the lady was fast, but because she just took some matcha powder, mixed it with milk and added ice. That's it! And the powder wasn't even full mixed as most of it was on the bottom of the cup. If that's what you call a matcha latte, I could've done that at home and saved my $7. Oh well...

Dropped by to grab a quick cup of matcha latte. And my first time here! The place feels cozy and it has this very calm vibes. The lighting is just right, perfect for working or having coffee with friends or SO. Not very spacious but the tables are situated strategically that it looks that it can sit a good amount of people. My matcha.... just how I like it! Not sweet nor creamy that you could actually feel the pungent taste in your palate. Very satisfying;) and the staff ( sorry guys I didn't get your names) very polite and soft spoken that add to the calming vibes of the place.
Will definitely be dropping by whenever I'm in the area -

Jack's is the perfect little coffee shop for South Street Seaport with its rustic vibe. Service was friendly although I felt a little rushed placing my order. Grabbed a latte and a slice of apricot walnut bread, which were both great and found myself a table. Came in during one of the coldest days in New York so it wasn't too crowded inside but I can see it easily getting crowded since the space is on the smaller side to make for more tables and seats. I look forward to coming back to try more of their menu!
